Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated accounting professional to join our Group Shared Services team, supporting one of our key business units within the marine sector. This role covers the full marine payroll scope, offering strong exposure to a structured, high-volume environment under a well-established conglomerate.

This position is ideal for early-career professionals who are keen to build a solid foundation in finance and accounting within a reputable organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing crew wages using payroll software that auto-interface accounting entries into SAP.
• Processing Manning Agent disbursements using OCR based system that auto-interface accounting entries into SAP.
• Processing master cash advance and settlement to Manning Agents using SAP.
• Register accounting entries for master cash accounts, bonded stores and victualling accounts into SAP.
• Perform monthly reconciliation for Crew Control Accounts and Manning Agent Accounts.
• Yearly submission of employers’ income tax returns, EA and IR8A for crew.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
• Support audits and ad-hoc finance projects when required.
• Undertake any other jobs and duties may be assigned from time to time by management.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or part accounting professional qualification
• Minimum 2 years accounting experience
• Comfortable working with numbers, reports, and spreadsheets (Excel and SAP knowledge is an advantage)
• Good communication skills and able to follow up professionally with internal and external parties
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work in a structured, shared services environment
• Experience in marine, or shared services is an added advantage but not mandatory
• Someone with a high level of integrity, proactive team player with a positive attitude, willing to learn and a sense of curiosity
