Job Summary
The role allows the early startup of supply base operations in line with the group’s long term business direction of operating a New Supply Base setup in KSA located in Ras Al Khair Port.
Key Responsibilities
- Development / improve operational strategies in line with the requirement of Saudi Port Authorities, Coast Guards and Customs (Zakat) office within the Port.
- Take charge of executing the supply base operations to meet revenue and margin targets for supply base ops and ship repairs services in the Port.
- Engagement with new client pool and ensure customer centric support is provided for all new Marine and Offshore customers operating in KSA.
- Deep understanding of vessels movement operational process in line with Port Authority (Mawani) and coast guard requirements.
- Engage Mawani harbour tugs for vessel movement needs.
- Plan and execute stevedoring operations to ensure safe and secured handling of incoming vessels into Supply Base.
- Understanding of supply base logistical operational services.
- Understanding of project load out (SPMT/Cranes) operations (modules, blocks, subsea pipelines) onto laydown barge.
- Handling of clients engaged marine warranty surveyor to ensure sea fastening and load out operations were carried out in line with warranty surveyor instructions.
- Follow up on all new clients to promote PFMC capabilities and service support to bring in new revenue stream.
- Handle site enquiries from customers and work with commercial team to ensure timely response.
- Follow-up the tenders with customers and agents and negotiating the Contracts/Projects.
- Ensure timely tender estimation is carry out by commercial estimator.
- Handle client management for PFMC within port.
- Manage PFMC Operations team to maintain optimal critical inventory levels for materials and consumables.
- Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to and understand contractual obligations, and also determine when processes violate regulations.
- To be able to assess all risks and make recommendations based on analysis of factors affecting a business situation.
- Provide functional and management support in the management of Change, including negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders with the clients.
- Review of existing company procedures and policies on commercial management, and provide constructive feedback for refining/updating of the existing procedures.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the operations – Saudi Ports / Supply Base (Strong grasp of Mawani, Coast Guards and Customs Regulatory Function Preferred)
- Conversant in Microsoft applications (Excel / Word)
- Conversant in SAP Project Management
- Conversant in Microsoft Project
- Team management experience
Education
Bachelors in Marine Engineering or Naval Architect
