Job Summary

The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations in Thailand, ensuring compliance with local regulations, supporting strategic business decisions, and collaborating closely with the Singapore finance team. This role requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
    • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions and budget forecasting.
  2. Compliance & Regulatory
    • Ensure full compliance with Thailand’s financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
    • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities to meet compliance obligations.
    • Manage tax filings, VAT submissions, and other statutory requirements.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Lead the annual budgeting process for the Thailand entity.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to management.
    • Develop financial models to support growth initiatives and cost control.
  4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
    • Monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Manage banking relationships and support treasury activities in coordination with the Singapore finance team.
  5. Business Partnering
    • Work closely with operational teams in Thailand to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.
  6. Team Leadership
    • Manage and mentor local finance staff, ensuring high performance and alignment with company values.
    • Provide training and development to enhance the team's financial capabilities.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of Thailand’s financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Thai.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders.
  • Experience in the data centre, technology, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and consolidation processes.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • The incumbent will assist with the setup of the office and manage HR related matters during the initial start up period

Education

Bachelors in Accountancy or Finance
