Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the HSE Supervisor in implementing and monitoring HSE requirements at the project site. The role conducts daily HSE patrols, gas monitoring, workplace inspections, and monitoring of high-risk activities to ensure compliance with safety procedures and regulatory requirements. The position also supports incident and near-miss investigations, emergency response, safety campaigns, and corrective actions, while ensuring unsafe work is promptly identified and addressed to maintain a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist the HSE Supervisor in implementing and enforcing HSE requirements.
• Conduct daily HSE patrols, gas monitoring, and workplace inspections.
• Monitor lifting equipment, PPE, fire-fighting equipment, and safety controls.
• Ensure Risk Assessments, PTW, and hot-work controls are implemented and displayed.
• Monitor hot work, incompatible activities, and other high-risk work.
• Verify gas-free conditions, barricading, pipeline isolation, and vessel safety requirements.
• Participate in housekeeping, safety campaigns, drills, and emergency response.
• Assist with incident/near-miss investigations and reporting.
• Record and report HSE findings and corrective actions to the HSE Supervisor.
• Attend VSCC meetings when required.
• Stop unsafe or incompatible work where there is an immediate HSE risk.
• Enforce applicable HSE rules, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 2 years.

Education and Key Certifications Necessary

• AK3 General Umum (Occupational Health & Safety)
• AK3 Muda (Occupational Health & Safety) – an added advantage.
