Job Summary

The Officer, Learning & Development is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, administration, and reporting of learning and development activities. The role ensures accurate training records and HR systems data, coordinates training programs and logistics, monitors training completion and effectiveness, prepares reports, and provides administrative support to deliver L&D initiatives that enhance employee capability while ensuring compliance with company policies and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure all Learning & Development (L&D) administrative activities are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and update data in the HRIS, Learning Management System (LMS), and other learning platforms to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain employee training records and electronic personnel files, ensuring all information isaccurate, secure, and compliant with data protection policies.
  • Monitor and maintain training records and KPI data to support timely reporting and meet internal and external audit requirements.
  • Coordinate training programs by liaising with managers, employees, internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and external training providers, while monitoring training completion status.
  • Support the Senior Executive, HR – L&OD, IR & Security in delivering Learning & Development initiatives, including:
  • Training planning and scheduling, Training design and coordination, Skills gap analysis, Management development and upskilling programs, Employee wellbeing initiatives, Preparation of training KPI reports and QA audit documentation
  • Coordinate logistics and provide administrative support for meetings, training sessions, workshops, and promotional events.
  • Assist in evaluating training effectiveness, monitoring learning outcomes, and preparing management reports.
  • Prepare monthly L&D reports and other ad hoc reports as required.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the immediate supervisor to support departmental and business objectives.
  • Comply with all Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and regulations applicable within the yard.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training Administration, or Human Resources.
  • Good knowledge of training administration, training coordination, and record management.
  • Experience in maintaining HRIS/LMS databases and preparing training reports is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with employees, managers, and external training providers.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Willing to support training activities, audits, and occasional travel if required.
  • Knowledge of ISO, quality management systems, or training compliance requirements is an added advantage.
