Key Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and workshop regulation.
• Operate Overhead Crane (OHC) safety and efficiently.
• Perform lifting, moving, loading and unloading of materials, equipment and steel structures according to operational requirements.
• Ensure all lifting activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and lifting plans.
• Conduct daily inspection and pre-use check of crane equipment, wire ropes, hooks, and safety devices.
• Report any equipment defect, abnormalities, or unsafe conditions immediately to Supervisor.
• Coordinate closely with riggers, supervisors and production teams during lifting operations.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOP), company regulation, and HSE requirements at all times.
• Assist in material arrangement and internal equipment movement.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefing, and training program as required.
• Maintain valid operator certification/license.

Key Requirements

Preferred Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Overhead Crane (OHC) operator, preferably in shipyard.
• Experienced in handling heavy lifting operation for steel structures, blocks, pipe, and others components.
• Familiar with shipyard workshop operation, lifting procedures, and material handling activities.
• Possess valid Overhead Crane Operator certification/license.
• Good understanding of HSE regulation, lifting safety standards, and risk awareness.
• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet operational and project schedule.
• Willing to learn and develop multi skill capability.
• Good Communication and teamwork skill.

Education and Key Certifications Necessary

• Minimum Senior High School (SMA/SMK) or equivalent.
• Valid Overhead Crane (OHC) operator license/Certification.
• Valid SIO (Surat Izin Operator) issued by authorized institution/government body is preferred.
• Basic Occupational Health and Safety certification is preferred.

Education

Certifications
