Job Summary
The Mechanical Store Coordinator is responsible for managing and controlling the receipt, storage, issuance, return, and inventory of mechanical materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper material identification and storage, timely material availability for mechanical and maintenance activities, and compliance with company procedures and HSE requirements. The position also coordinates with the Mechanical Supervisor, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments, while overseeing store operations, manpower allocation, documentation, and overall store team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Maintain records of tools and equipment issued, returned, damaged, or lost.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical Supervisor, Procurement, Warehouse, and other departments regarding material requirements and availability.
- Check incoming materials and spare parts against purchase orders, delivery notes, and specifications.
- Manage and control the receipt, storage, issuance, and return of mechanical materials, spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure all stock transactions are properly documented.
- Conduct regular stock checks and physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report material shortages or excess stock to the Supervisor.
- Ensure all materials, spare parts, and tools are properly identified, labeled, and stored according to their specifications.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness, and safe arrangement of the store area.
- Control the issuance of tools and equipment to mechanics and other authorized personnel.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports as required.
- Support material planning and preparation for mechanical jobs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure all store activities comply with company procedures, HSE requirements, and project standards.
- Identify damaged, obsolete, or non-conforming materials and report them to the Supervisor responsible.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of store records, including Material Receiving Reports, Material Issue Records, and inventory documents.
- Take responsibility for overall store coordination, inventory control, manpower allocation, and performance of the store team.
- Maintain organized storage, chemical materials, inspection records, and MSDS
Key Requirements
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical store, warehouse, or material control activities for Senior Mechanic Store.
- Experience in handling mechanical spare parts, tools, equipment, consumables, and materials.
- Good understanding of inventory management, stock control, material receiving, issuing, and storage procedures.
- Able to perform physical stock checks, inventory reconciliation, and material tracking.
- Familiar with material identification, labeling, preservation, and proper storage practices.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe material handling practices.
- Able to work independently, maintain accurate records, and manage multiple priorities in a project/yard environment.
Education and Key certifications necessary:
- Minimum Diploma (D3) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or related field. Senior High School (SMA/SMK) with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
- Good knowledge of mechanical spare parts, tools, equipment, and consumables.
- Good inventory control and documentation skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, and proper material storage.
Education
Diploma in Logistics Management
Trade School in Mechanical Engineering or Others
