The Hull Treatment Supervisor is responsible for overseeing hull treatment activities for ship repair projects, typically handling 1–2 vessels depending on the workload. The role involves supervising hull treatment teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out according to agreed work scope, safety guidelines, and company procedures. The supervisor will coordinate with project managers, clients, owner representatives, and paint representatives to ensure smooth project execution, proper planning, and timely completion. The position also requires monitoring work progress, ensuring risk assessments and control measures are implemented, maintaining workforce timekeeping, and ensuring all hull treatment activities meet quality and schedule requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities :
- He will be a Supervisor in-charge on repair projects and may handle 1–2 vessels, depends on the quantum of hull treatment work.
- He should also supervise, guide the HT in charge and the works being carried out.
- In absence of dept HOD/MGR he should be able to carry out dept activities/responsibilities well
- He will also report to project manager onboard and take instructions from the owner reps regarding HT activities / agreed work scope
- He will confirm all the HT jobs with the Client and Paint rep.
- He will control all the HT subcon onboard and ensure that all activities are done as per safety guidelines.
- He will ensure that all activities have been covered under the risk assessment and all RA have been addressed and control measures are in place to avoid any incidents.
- He must follow the NOVADE (PTW) system.
- Timekeeping by the HT workforce.

Key Requirements
Preferred Experience
- Min 10 yrs experience in shipyards/ship repair-related hull treatment works as Supervisor.
- Must be fully conversant of different surface reparation techniques, standards and coating applications on marine and offshore vessels etc.
- Able to understand and estimate the vessel hull, tanks and the structure areas (in sqm) and able to quantify the work, percentage etc.
- Good communication skills, written and spoken English language is must and able to plan all HT related activities on 2–3 vessels and able to co-ordinate with different subcons and supervise/control the jobs as per given plan/schedule.
- Physically fit and able to work for extended hrs to meet the job quality & schedule. To be in positive frame of mind.
- Must be able to decide the critical activities for the jobs and able to give good solutions to the client/project for the jobs when schedule is very short.
- Able to communicate effectively with owner reps/clients, project manager and paint reps etc.
- Who, believes in the work.
- Computer skills, able to generate work done report etc.
- Be available for the works as required by the dept.
