Job Summary
The role is responsible for supervising and coordinating steel work operations to ensure all activities are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and quality standards. This position oversees resource allocation, monitors work progress, and ensures compliance with safety and operational procedures. The role also involves managing team performance, coordinating with other departments and supervisors, and addressing any operational issues to maintain productivity and meet project targets. Additionally, it supports continuous improvement through performance evaluation, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions. 

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for:

• Supervise the subordinate on work result.
• Ensuring the resources (manpower,material,time,etc) usage are allocated to the satisfaction of classification societies and owner.
• Ensuring specifications (content, diagram, chart, table, etc) and Work Instructions are followed to meet the product requirements.
• Coordinating work progress and ensuring that activities and resource use conform to plan requirements.
• Coordinating work programme with other supervisor and other trade supervisor properly.
• Ensuring all safety and quality requirement are always met.
• Manage and measure the productivity on related issues.
• Supervise the employee’s work discipline.
• Provide necessary report as assigned by Manager.
• Supervising and coordinating the Steel job process based on customer request and quality objective.
• Verify the Steel work schedule upon the job target.
• Control the job process, job safety condition, job target, man-hour allocation
• Handling all internal department problem solving and formulating the corrective action.
• Liaise with other department for material requisition, purchase and storage.
• Evaluate the job achievement, employee job performance, safety condition for continues improvement in the department.
• Report to Manager for every job achievement.
• To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.

Key Requirements

Preferred Competencies:

• Electrical/Mechanical/Marine background
• Minimum 3 – 5 years experiences in this field
• Fluent in English (Verbal & Written)
• Ability to work with multi-national workforce
• Shipyard experience an advantage
