Job Summary

The Cluster Facilities Manager will report directly to the APAC Head of Facilities and Operations. This pivotal role involves leading the Critical Facilities teams and overseeing all data centres in Thailand. The manager is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting customer SLAs, advancing platform priorities, and enhancing revenue and margins through effective resource management.

The manager will also oversee fiscal responsibilities, including facility budgets, and conduct due diligence on financial activities related to headcount, capital, and expenses. By analyzing data, they will enhance processes and operational efficiencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external customers. This role requires a strong background in data centre management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the data centre's critical physical infrastructure to maintain high availability and performance, ensuring that all work meets high-quality standards without impacting on customers operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the leadership team to standardize operations across all sites.
  • Implement and manage Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) optimization programs to enhance efficiency.
  • Provide direction and leadership of the site operations teams, including effective hiring, motivation, development, training and discipline of the site operation and maintenance organization.
  • Monitor workload / resources against KPI and budget constraints whilst ensuring up-time.
  • Initiate and manage site reviews, including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk.
  • To perform additional tasks as required by the Head of Facilities and Operations.

  • Drive improvement projects from conception to completion, often involving coordination with various internal and external support teams.
  • Serve as an escalation point for data centre facilities-related issues, including responding to out-of-hours emergency calls.
  • Manage overall site capacity and participate in the design team for new facilities and infrastructure.
  • Lead incident management, ensuring effective communication and coordination during complex, customer-impacting incidents.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, health, and environmental policies.
  • Develop strong working relationships with K2 staff and customer representatives, always presenting a professional image.
  • Undertake additional tasks as defined by local management and initiate special programs to enhance data centre operations.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in a Data Centre environment preferably
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the data centre industry, including development and management of data centres.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, interpersonal, teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills both in English and Thai language to liaise with the respective counterparts
  • Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities.
  • Good judgement and decision making skills.

  • Ability to use computer applications effectively.

Education

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering & Electronics
Masters in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
