Job Summary

Assist to develop and plan initiatives to ensure effective and consistent implementation of HSSEQ policies and procedures and Loss Prevention strategies across the POSH Group that focuses on fostering a culture of safety excellence, ensuring regulatory compliance, protecting assets and personnel, and integrating safety into all business operations.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Policy Development

• Facilitate to align BUs’ safety goals with corporate HSSEQ policies and industry best practices.
• Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive safety and loss prevention programs, policies, and procedures.
• Facilitate to establish safety KPIs and performance metrics to monitor progress and drive continuous improvement.

Operational Oversight & Compliance

• Assist in preparation and managing safety audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and monitoring progress on  gap closure plan and improvement areas.
• Assist in the incident management, investigations, root cause analysis, and monitoring on progress on corrective actions.
• Track and assist to ensure validation of DOC, SMC, and ISSC certificates and facilitate internal/external ISM/ISPS/ISO audits.

Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting

• Support supervisor in engaging with operations, engineering, HR, and external stakeholders (regulatory bodies, industry groups), following up on action planning and gap closure plan.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports and recommendations to senior management and the board.

Loss Prevention & Risk Management

• Facilitate in the design and execution of loss prevention strategies to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
• Monitor loss trends and facilitate the implementation of preventive measures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies on compliance issues.

Integrated Management Systems (IMS)

• Maintain and assist to improve the IMS in line with ISM, ISPS, ISO 9001, 14001, 50001, and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Facilitate ship-shore exercises, HAZID workshops, and charterer audits (e.g., OVMSA).

Transformation & Collaboration

• Assist to align HSSE projects with broader organizational transformation goals.
• Facilitate communication between business units, operating units, and external consultants

Additional Duties

• Support the Group HSSEQ Head in managing company manuals, policy reviews, and other assigned tasks.
• Facilitate in improving processes by utilising AI tools to improve efficiency. Explore various AI tools and digitisation tools available in the market.

Required Education & Qualifications

• At least a Diploma, preferably in Shipping or Nautical Studies

Skills & Competencies

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Shipping/Offshore services office environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Effective written and oral communication skills
