Job Summary

PaxOcean is seeking an HVAC Engineer to support ongoing and upcoming module projects. The role will be responsible for HVAC system design and engineering calculations, preparation and review of technical drawings and documents, coordination with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams, as well as supporting construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure project requirements are met on time and in accordance with technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review HVAC system layouts, specifications, and calculations
• Involved in all mechanical engineering designs, calculations, preparing bill of materials, and liaise with customer and suppliers for any engineering query.
• Involved in design and construction document preparation and submissions.
• Involved in technical review and clarifications with customer and suppliers.
• Involved in coordination of design with other engineering disciplines.
• Involved in construction, installation, testing and commission activities.
• Involve in identifying the Company scope of work in the project.
• Involve in solving technical issues that arise in the project.
• Involve in monitor the progress of the document submission.
• Some drafting scope and also guide drafters for drafting.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC system design, installation, or maintenance (experience in oil and gas company).
• Proficient in HVAC design software
• Strong knowledge of HVAC components, standards, and troubleshooting.
• Good communication skills in English both written & spoken.
• Must know basic mechanical design knowledge.
• Know how to do HVAC cooling capacity calculation, pressure drop calculation, ducting sizing.
• Know how to do duct installation and HVAC installation.
• Know how to do piping and instrumentation diagram (PID), Air flow diagram and ducting and Instrumentation diagram (DID).
• Must know basic pipe sizing, selection and pipe installation knowledge.
• Must know basic fire suppression knowledge.
• Must know how to operated and draw in AutoCAD.
• Must know how to operate MS office (minimum Word and Excel).
• Minimum Diploma/Degree in HVAC Engineering or related field

Education
