Key Responsibilities
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Responsible to do the task as per instruction from the direct superior for inspection and quality related.
- To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set by yard.
- To do pre-check inspection internally before request for inspection submitted to Quality Control Department as follows:
- a. Fit-up inspection
- b. Welding visual inspection
- c. Line check / line walk inspection in piping system installation
- d. Pressure test: Hydro test inspection and Air test inspection
- Conduct inspection and verification (dimensional check, welding inspection, NDT coordination).
- To maintain time keeping and discipline in working.
- Ensure that the work carried out complies with quality standard, project specification, tender work instruction, procedure and manuals as appropriate.
- Perform and carry out in process and final inspections in shop and on board.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Planning, Class Surveyor, and Owner representatives regarding quality matters.
- Identify non-conformities and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken effectively.
- Perform NDT as required.
- Maintain proper documentation.
- Other assignment/project assign which is assigned by the company.
- To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard.
Key Requirements
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 1 years or more of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance within the shipbuilding or related industry.
- Knowledge of inspection & testing techniques.
- Ability in English (verbal and written).
- Must be proactive and willing to learn.
- High level of integrity and commitment to quality and safety standards.
Education and Key Certifications Necessary
- Graduated from technical vocational high school/ senior high school or junior high school with held Pipe Welder course certificate.
