Job Summary

The Crewing Intern will support the Crewing Department in both operational and digitalization initiatives, gaining exposure to maritime workforce management, data analytics, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Crewing Power BI dashboards to support manpower planning, crew deployment tracking, cadet management, and management reporting.
  • Analyze crewing data and create meaningful visualizations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist in the digitalization and automation of crewing processes, forms, and workflows using Microsoft 365 tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Microsoft Forms, and SharePoint.
  • Support the administration and review of the crew appraisal module and related records.
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of Officer Performance Reports (OPR).
  • Administer crew feedback forms, consolidate responses, analyze trends, and share with crew manager.
  • Review and improve existing crewing forms and processes to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate logistics and schedules for Top 4 Pre-Joining Briefings for senior officers.
  • Assist in preparing Quarterly Management Review (MRM) reports and management presentations.
  • Support reviews and updates of Crew Management Manual (CMM) procedures.
  • Attend departmental meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on action items.
  • Support crew engagement activities, Long Service Awards, and other crewing initiatives as assigned.

Key Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Maritime Studies, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong interest in shipping operations, crewing, and digital transformation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications such as SharePoint, Power Apps, and Microsoft Forms.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • High attention to detail and professionalism when handling confidential crew information.

Education

Bachelors in Maritime Studies or Information Technology
