Job Summary

The Officer Marketing Communications supports the planning, development and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional activities to drive footfall, tenant sales and shopper engagement. The role also manages the mall’s digital presence and provides timely reporting on campaign performance.

Key Responsibilities

1.Campaign Development & Execution

  • Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, events and promotional activities in line with the mall’s annual marketing calendar.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, tenants, agencies and vendors to ensure smooth implementation of campaigns.
  • Support on-ground execution including setup, operations and post-event teardown.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed within approved budgets and timelines.

2. Social Media & Digital Management

  • Manage and update the mall’s social media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok).
  • Plan and schedule content in line with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Monitor engagement, respond to enquiries and manage community interactions in a timely manner.
  • Work with designers and agencies to produce relevant and engaging content.

3. Reporting & Analysis

  • Track and compile campaign performance including footfall, sales (where applicable), and digital metrics.
  • Prepare regular reports on campaign effectiveness and social media performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve future campaigns.

4. Stakeholder & Tenant Coordination

  • Liaise with tenants to support their participation in mall campaigns and promotions.
  • Assist in coordinating joint promotions, vouchers, and marketing tie-ups.
  • Maintain good working relationships with tenants and external partners.

5. Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist in procurement processes including quotation requests, vendor coordination and invoice processing.
  • Maintain proper documentation for campaigns, reports and approvals.
  • Support any ad-hoc marketing or operational tasks as required.

Key Requirements

Job Location: JB City Square Mall. 

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in retail, mall or agency environment.
  • Strong execution skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiar with social media platforms and basic analytics tools.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Able to work weekends and public holidays when required for events.
