Overview

 

The Fleet HSSEQ Quality Manager is a key member of the HSSEQ leadership team, working closely with HSSEQ Superintendents to drive the integration of quality management across operations and project execution.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for leading and overseeing fleet and group quality performance, ensuring effective non-conformance management, maintaining audit readiness, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Lead High Potential (HiPo) incidents, Lost Time Injuries (LTI), and major environmental breaches across the segment, while ensuring the consistent application of investigation methodologies such as TapRooT and 5-Why to support effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality standards across the organization in alignment with company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for maintaining and continuously improving the fleet’s and group’s certification.  
  • Responsible for the QA section of the Integrated Management System (IMS) — approve all quality procedures, work instructions, and forms. 
  • Develop the fleet-wide quality strategy, policy, and annual objectives in alignment with corporate goals.        
  • Responsible for the annual ISO management reviews — present performance data, NCR trends, and strategic recommendations to the POSH Group HSSEQ Head.
  • Lead the root cause analyses for major or recurring quality failures. 
  • Oversee and manage the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) system, analyze NCR trends to identify systemic quality risks, and communicate key findings along with recommended strategic interventions.
  • Lead high-risk or client-critical quality audits on vessels, project sites, and key suppliers.
  • Accountable for governance of the master audit finding register, with authority to challenge PICs on delayed closures or inadequate corrective actions to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Lead the preparation for major external audits (client, flag state, ISO certification) and coordinate group-wide evidence gathering to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
  • Prepare the HSSEQ input for the ISO/ISM Management Review for presentation by the Head HSSEQ to senior leadership.
  • Provide quality assurance input and approval throughout the tendering and contract negotiation processes, ensuring that client quality requirements are clearly defined, aligned with operational capabilities, and both commercially and operationally feasible.
  • Review and approve all Project Quality Plans for construction, subsea, and installation scopes to ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Act as the company’s senior Quality Assurance representative in client meetings, quarterly business reviews, and quality performance discussions, ensuring effective communication of quality performance and commitments.
  • Maintain the approved supplier register and exercise authority to suspend or remove non-performing suppliers based on quality performance evaluations and compliance requirements.
  • Benchmark fleet quality performance against industry peers, ensure integration of quality within the HSSEQ Integrated Management System (IMS), and lead QHSE improvement initiatives, presenting key insights and recommendations to the POSH Group Head HSSEQ.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Preferably with a Degree in Nautical Studies, Engineering or any relevant degree.
  • COC Class 1 Master/Engineer
