
Job Summary
The Post Fixture Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of vessel operations following the conclusion of a fixture. This role requires a strategic leader to manage a team, optimize voyage P&L, and ensure strict compliance with Charter Party (C/P) terms. You will be the primary point of contact for complex disputes and the lead expert for the company's IMOS commercial management system.
This role entails overseeing all Post fixture duties right from the time when a vessel is fixed on a voyage or time charter basis till the completion of the voyage and settling of all accounts with charterers or Owners. Liaising closely with Operations, Commercial & Finance departments for successful execution of this role.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Execution & IMOS Management
- Oversee the entry and maintenance of all fixture data into IMOS, ensuring 100% accuracy for financial reporting and voyage tracking.
- Monitor vessel schedules, and off-hire events within the system.
- Liaise with IT/Operations/Commercial/ Finance teams to implement IMOS workflow improvements.
Post-Fixture Management
- Manage end-to-end post-fixture activities for time charter and voyage charter contracts.
- Manage the issuance of hire/freight invoices and oversee the diligent collection of Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Sending out notices of delivery / redelivery as per CP.
- Sending notices of arrival to voyage charterers as per booking / fixture note requirement.
- To supervise and perform complex Laytime/Demurrage calculations and lead negotiations for final settlements.
- Ensure compliance with charter party terms and identify any contractual risks.
- Review Vendor invoices, Proforma Disbursement Accounts (PDA) and Final Disbursement Accounts (FDA) to maximize voyage earnings.
- Liaise with brokers, charterers/ owners, agents and vendors to make arrangements for timely charter hires/ SOAs, PDA / FDA/ vendor invoice arrangements as per company’s requirements
- Track and report voyage results and deviations to management.
- Optimize resource utilization and propose strategies to enhance operational efficiency
Documentation & Compliance
- Create and /or update vendor details (Owner/Charterer/Agent/Supplier) in MDG for approval and timely payments. Conduct proper sanction check for vendor in line with Risk Management's requirements.
- Preparing voyage Charter Parties based on the main term recap and proforma CP
- Maintain accurate records of voyage documentation and file vessel-wise promptly in Sharepoint folders.
- LOI logs creation and filing.
Key Requirements
- Experience 5–8 years of direct experience in a post-fixture role within the shipping industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on experience with IMOS (Veson Nautical) is mandatory. Familiarity with other shipping platforms (e.g., Shipnet, Diabos) is an advantage.
- Contractual Knowledge: Good understanding of maritime law, C/P clauses, and international shipping regulations.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders including Owners, Charterers, and Brokers.
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Maritime Studies or related field
