Job Summary

The intern will join our Mumbai office for 6 months engagement. You will be guided directly by our Singapore-based Senior Analyst who will support your learning in freight market analysis through supervised projects and research assignments.

By the end of the internship, you will:

• Understand dry bulk freight market drivers
• Learn Power BI dashboard fundamentals
• Develop market research and synthesis skills
• Gain exposure to client reporting workflows

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building dashboards and update them under supervision. They may include the use of Power BI and Excel, to track freight rates, vessel supply, and commodity flows
• Support preparation of presentation materials for internal and client discussions. This may include the use of Powerpoint and conducting adhoc research on market trends and demand signals.
• Read and synthesize industry reports into concise market summaries.
• Support data organization and learn data tracking methods for the drybulk market.

Key Requirements

• Recent graduate in STEM, Finance, Economics, or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in shipping, commodities, and international trade.
• Intermediate Excel and Power BI proficiency, to build dashboards, data modelling, pivot tables.
• Python or SQL is a strong bonus.
• Strong written English
• Self-starter comfortable working across time zones.
