Job Summary

The R&D Lead for Maritime SIL/HIL Testing heads the development of system-level virtual and hybrid test environments that accelerate validation, integration, and deployment of complex marine and offshore systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage an R&D team to conduct system-level technology development and R&D projects, ensuring alignment with internal policies and procedures
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and decision support in relevant projects across ship systems, automation, and power domains
• Support new business opportunities by development of testing platforms and translation into operational tools or commercial services
• Reporting and tracking the progress of R&D projects to stakeholders or funding agencies

Key Requirements

• Technically proven with a minimum of 7 years of experience in systems engineering, automation, or software-in-the-loop/hardware-in-the-loop testing and industrial communication protocols
• Proven leadership of applied R&D or leading cross-disciplinary teams spanning software, electrical and marine domains
• Experience in the development of digital twins, model-based design for marine energy systems and/or real-time simulation of marine vessel dynamics, power networks, and machinery plants preferred
• Excellent Spoken and Written Communication Skills to communicate complex ideas and reporting to diverse stakeholders
• PhD / DEng / Master's Degree in Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems or related discipline
