
Job Summary
This individual is responsible for providing support and guidance on safety, health and environmental matters to our staff in our operational data centres and also in our construction sites in compliance with all applicable local statutory standards, rules and regulations.
To successfully fill this role, the ideal candidate should maintain the good attitude, behaviour, relevant skill, strong writing and communication capabilities and proficient with the requirements of government regulations and technical rules.
The candidate will be based in Thailand but report directly to the Global EHS Manager.
Key Responsibilities
· Advise management on environmental, safety, and health (ESH) requirements.
· Conduct workplace risk assessments and implement suitable controls to reduce the risk to employees, our customers or others.
· Develop, implement and maintain ESH practices in line with applicable laws, company standards, international standards, and customer compliance.
· Ensure a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, ensuring compliance with applicable ESH-related laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies.
· Manage and improve Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental matters by controlling, monitoring, enforcing, and coordinating ESH-related tasks.
· Liaise with local regulatory bodies and other relevant authorities to ensure full legal compliance.
· Develop and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to prevent chemical, physical, and biological hazards in the workplace.
· Carry out inspections and address findings with management, proposing solutions to eliminate incidents and hazards in the future.
· Lead the Health and Safety Committee, organizing and maintaining documents, notices, notifications, and minutes related to safety matters.
· Investigate and analyze workplace accidents, preparing incident investigation reports and recommending corrective actions.
· Raise awareness among all staff about environmental, health, and safety standards in the workplace.
· Monitor and inspect equipment and workplaces to ensure proper use of protective equipment and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct regular site audits and reviews to ensure compliance with all relevant ESH laws and regulations.
· Organize and conduct emergency drills and exercises to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
· Lead efforts to monitor environmental compliance, including managing scheduled waste in line with regulatory environmental requirements.
· Assist the Management Representative in establishing and monitoring ISO 45001:2018 compliance.
· Carry out audits and monitoring of the management system providing reports and actions plans for management and relevant stakeholders
· Carry out testing of emergency response plans and provide evaluation and advice on improvements
· Support efforts to establish and maintain compliance with ISO 14001:2015.
Working Environment
· The job role will involve working day-to-day in our operational facilities or on our construction site.
· The job may also from time to time involve travelling to our HQ in Singapore or to other facilities within the portfolio.
Key Requirements
Skills set and Qualifications Requirements
· Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent.
· Environmental related qualifications are beneficial
· At least 10-15 years of working experience preferably in Construction or Data Centres or high hazard industry.
· Member of a recognised occupational safety & health organisation
· Experience in the data centre industry is advantageous but not essential.
· Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Proficient computer skills, especially in applications such as Excel, databases, Word, and web-based systems.
· Understanding in HSE management system, ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 will be an added advantage.
