
Job Summary
The Senior Supervisor Machinist is responsible for overseeing and managing all machine shop operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role provides leadership to the machining team, ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, and supports timely delivery of projects by optimizing resources, equipment, and workflows. The Senior Supervisor Machinist also plays a key role in mentoring team members, maintaining operational records, and driving continuous improvement across workshop activities.

Comprehensive understanding of machine shop tools and processes.

Monitor and manage the machine shop jobs.

Establish and enforce safety protocols for the machine shop and its machine.

Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and other operational data and tools and measuring equipment.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Ability to communicate and report effectively.

Extensive knowledge of construction best practices, equipment maintenance, and use, and OSH guideline.

Manage all machine team on shop floor effectively to deliver on time and work efficiency.

Manage record of all measuring tools and calibration / operational availability up to date.

Key Requirements
Preferred Experience

Experience in fabricating parts and repairing mechanical components to fine tolerances.

8–10 years of supervisory experience in a mechanical machine shop environment.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and custom tooling setups.

Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications.

Proficiency in operating and maintaining CNC machines, lathes, mills, and grinders & automatic / semi-automatic machine.

Proven experience supervising machinists or technicians, typically 5–8 years in a leadership role.

Ability to onboard and train junior machinists, fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Skilled in scheduling jobs, allocating resources, and managing production timelines.
