Job Summary
The Assistant Officer – Storekeeper is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative and storekeeping activities at the Business Centre. The role involves maintaining proper records of materials and items, monitoring stock levels, assisting with issuance and receipt of items, and ensuring that the storage areas are properly organised, clean and well maintained
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily storekeeping and administrative duties for the Business Centre.
- Receive, check, store and issue materials, office supplies, equipment and other items as required.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including receipts, issues and balances.
- Monitor inventory levels and highlight low-stock or replenishment requirements to the supervisor.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with periodic stocktaking and reconciliation.
- Ensure all materials and items are properly labelled, arranged and stored in designated areas.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the store and storage areas.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and appropriately to prevent damage, loss or deterioration.
- Prepare and maintain store-related documents, records, forms and reports.
- Assist with the preparation and arrangement of materials or items required for Business Centre activities.
- Coordinate with relevant departments on the collection, delivery and issuance of materials.
- Report any damaged, missing or expired items to the supervisor and assist with the necessary follow-up.
- Ensure proper control and accountability of store keys, equipment and other assigned items.
- Support periodic audits and inventory checks by providing the necessary records and documentation.
- Assist with other administrative and operational duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, inventory management, warehouse administration or a similar role.
- Minimum GCE O-Level or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of inventory and stock control procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- Able to work independently and maintain accurate records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Comfortable handling and moving materials when required.
- Meticulous, responsible and able to maintain good housekeeping standards.
