Job Summary

The Assistant Finance Manager will serve as the HQ lead responsible for overseeing and working closely with the regional finance teams on financial operations across APAC, ensuring compliance with local regulations, supporting strategic business decisions, and collaborating closely with the Singapore finance team. This role requires strong financial acumen, and a proactive approach to managing financial risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Management & Reporting
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
    • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Prepare financial analysis to support business decisions and budget forecasting.
  2. Compliance & Regulatory
    • Ensure full compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
    • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and relevant authorities to meet compliance obligations.
    • Manage tax filings and submissions, and other statutory requirements.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Lead the annual budgeting process with the regional finance teams across APAC.
    • Monitor financial performance, analyse variances, and provide insights to management.
    • Develop financial models to support growth initiatives and cost control.
  4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
    • Monitor cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Manage banking relationships and support treasury activities.
  5. Business Partnering
    • Work closely with operational teams in APAC to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and internal controls.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance experience.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting tools and ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders.
  • Experience in the data centre, technology, or infrastructure sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and consolidation processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelors in Finance or Accountancy
Advanced Diploma in Accounting or Banking and Finance
