• Perform quality carpentry related job in ship building and ship repairs.
• Comply with yard safety requirements.
• Perform carpentry related jobs in the most productive method.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with Supervisor and Foreman’s instructions and perform to achieve quality works safely, within the stipulated completion time.
• Strictly follow all steps in risk assessments and attend the RA briefing before commencement of work.
• Understanding of job requirements before start work.
• Enquire with superior if in doubt & regarding of safety & quality issue.
• Able to understand the types of materials & grades.
• Ensure personal safety and safety of others. Follow rules and regulation and inspire others to do so.
• Ensure personal tools & equipment are maintained & good conditions.
• Cooperate with other trade for sequential work flow and smoother job completion within given schedule.
• Able to understand reading the basic carpentry drawings.
•  Contribute idea to improve working methods.
• Take ownership of own quality of work.

Key Requirements

• 2 Years above with relevant working experience .
• Able to read and understand ship structural drawing
• Experience in working on new building or repair vessel inclusive of take off and project management
• Able to motivate and give ideas to subordinates.
• Able to identify problems and take corrective actions which can delay the project schedule.
• Familiar with shipyard safety rules and regulation and MOM requirements.
