Job Summary
This role ensures ISO 9001:2015 compliance by maintaining and improving the QMS, managing audits, training staff, analysing quality data, and addressing nonconformities. It includes overseeing KPIs, customer satisfaction, subcontractor performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while collaborating across departments to adapt the QMS to business needs and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 certification by ensuring full compliance with applicable standards, corporate requirements, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Develop, review, update, and continuously improve QMS documents to ensure alignment with ISO 9001 requirements, best practices, and group-wide standardization across sister yards.
- Manage the nonconformity reporting process, ensuring root cause analysis is conducted, corrective actions are implemented effectively, and closure is achieved within the defined timeframe.
- Conduct QMS induction briefings for new employees and deliver quality-related training programs to enhance employee awareness, competency, and compliance with QMS requirements.
- Prepare Management Review presentation materials, perform data analysis on quality performance indicators, and prepare meeting minutes. Follow up on action items and ensure timely closure with clear accountability.
- Prepare and analyse monthly QS reports, identify key quality trends and recurring issues, and coordinate with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage departmental KPI reporting, verify performance data accuracy, analyse trends, and follow up with departments to ensure performance targets are achieved and improvement actions are implemented.
- Monitor Customer Satisfaction Questionnaire (CSQ) results, analyse feedback, identify improvement opportunities, and coordinate corrective actions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Oversee in-house calibration records and ensure measuring and test equipment (e.g., micrometres, pressure gauges) are properly calibrated, maintained, and compliant with calibration schedules and requirements.
- Conduct subcontractor and supplier qualification audits, evaluate performance, and monitor ongoing compliance with quality requirements.
- Collaborate with departments to identify, review, and update risks, opportunities, and interested party requirements to ensure the QMS remains effective and aligned with business objectives.
- Actively participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives, quality improvement projects, and operational excellence programs.
- Perform any other duties, as assigned by superior.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Quality Management System (QMS), preferably in the maritime or engineering industry.
- Experience in developing and maintaining procedures and work instructions.
- Experience in conducting internal quality audits and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, and nonconformity management.
- Experience in data analysis and identifying improvement opportunities.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities.
