Job Summary

The responsibility of the Steel Fitter is to fabricate, fit, and install steel structures and components on marine vessels in accordance with shipbuilding drawings, specifications, and safety standards. The marine steel fitter ensures the structural integrity, alignment, and seaworthiness of hulls, decks, bulkheads, and other steel assemblies, contributing to the safe and efficient construction, repair, or conversion of ships and offshore structures.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and Observe the HSE Rules and Regulations
• Understand the importance of Safety and consequences of violating it.
• Understand that Safety is a pre-requisite of work

Key Requirements

• 5 years and above of extensive experience in shipbuilding and ship repair, specializing in Steel Fitter related work.
• Conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with standards.
• Interpreting technical drawings and hull standards.
