Job Summary
The Marketing Communications Intern supports Great World’s Marcoms team in executing day-to-day communication and promotional activities. The role’s purpose is to assist with content coordination, social media support, tenant activities and event communications to ensure consistent and timely brand messaging. By handling operational and administrative tasks, the intern enables the team to focus on strategic planning, enhances campaign efficiency and contributes to stronger shopper and tenant engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Support: Participate in brainstorming and support in executing marketing campaigns.
- Track campaign performance and work on insights, assist with day-to day event coordination and implementation.
- Branding & Messaging: Support to ensure all platforms must be updated timely and align with mall’s image and objectives.
- Digital Marketing: Assist in exploration of new strategies and contribute ideas to create content for social media platforms, email newsletters and other marketing materials.
- Casual Leasing: Support team to source new/potential concepts and reach out to prospects to drive revenue.
- Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, shopper preferences and competitor activities to support marketing strategies.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with shoppers and tenants to gather feedback, assist with promotional efforts and contribute to community engagement initiatives.
- Customer Service: Understand operational processes and support to cover team as and when required.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the team including maintaining campaign assets, preparation of purchase orders and licence agreements, as and when required.
Key Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Available to commit at least 6 months
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) and digital marketing tools
- Experience in graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
- Creative mindset with an interest in branding, design and content creation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Team player with a proactive and positive learning attitude
