Job Summary

Oversees daily security operations, manages the security staff and ensures the protection of people, property and assets. Responsible for implementing security protocols, conducting training and serving as the primary point of contact for emergency situations.  

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train and schedule security personnel, both in-house and sub contracted staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide on-going coaching.

 

Operational Oversight:

  • Monitor surveillance system (CCTV).
  • Perform regular site patrols.
  • Ensure all entry points are secure.

Emergency Response:

  • Coordinate response to fire alarms, medical emergencies or security breaches closely with HSE dept.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services i.e., Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), Police Coast Guard (PCG), Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) and Maritime Port Authority (MPA) etc.

Policy Enforcement:

  • Enforce PaxOcean’s security policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP).
  • Ensure all PaxOcean staff comply with all security policies and legal regulations i.e., ISPS code at all times.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain detailed logs of daily activities
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents or safety hazards.

Equipment Maintenance:

  • Ensure security tech (cameras, radios and alarms) is functional and schedule repairs as needed.

Ability to perform shift work, inclusive of nights, weekends and public holidays

Key Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in security role with at least 1 year in leadership role. 
  • Nitec/ Higher Nitec equivalent
  • WPL (Comprehensive): Min Level 6
  • WPN: Min Level 5
  • Port Facilities Security Officer (PFSO) certification will be advantageous.
  • PWM-Security: Guard and Patrol
  • Physically fit and healthy to be able to response immediately to emergencies
  • Ability to develop, implement and maintain Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP)
