Job Summary

This role supports the preparation of competitive and commercially sound proposals for shipyard, offshore, marine, and module construction projects.

You will work closely with engineering, procurement, operations, finance, and other internal stakeholders to understand project requirements, develop cost estimates, and prepare tender submissions.

The position is suitable for both early-career candidates and experienced professionals. While relevant experience is beneficial, we place strong emphasis on analytical thinking, attention to detail, openness to new ideas, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review client enquiries, tender documents, technical specifications, engineering drawings, and requests for quotation.
  • Prepare project scope summaries and assist management in evaluating tender opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain technical inputs, quotations, labour rates, material costs, and other tender information.
  • Develop project cost estimates and pricing using established costing templates.
  • Identify cost assumptions, commercial qualifications, exclusions, risks, and opportunities associated with each tender.
  • Prepare and compile commercial and technical proposal documents in accordance with client requirements.
  • Support project prequalification submissions and ensure all required documentation is complete and submitted on time.
  • Coordinate tender clarifications with clients and internal stakeholders before and after proposal submission.
  • Maintain proper records of quotations, costing information, tender correspondence, and supporting documents.
  • Assist with tender reviews, management approvals, price revalidation, and project handover following contract award.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Quantity Surveying, Business, or related discipline.
  • Candidates with relevant tendering, estimation, engineering, shipyard, construction, or commercial experience are welcome to apply.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings would be advantageous.
  • Comfortable working with numbers, cost information.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Positive learning attitude, commercial awareness, and openness to new ideas and working methods.
  • Able to manage multiple tender deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to travel overseas when required.

Diploma in Engineering or Marine Engineering
Bachelors in Engineering or Naval Architect
